Powerhouse was founded by Dr. Lawson. In 1978, he founded and organized Powerhouse Temple of Deliverance Church Inc. as a result of a weekly Bible Study, a group that he taught in his home in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The congregation moved into the currant facility in New Haven, Connecticut durring the 2004 calendar year.
The building was orignally built in 1889. It is listed by the State and National historical societies as an historical land mark. The sanctuary holds 500 persons comfortably.
This unique ministry serves as a voice in the earth proclaiming a Kingdom message through Kingdom methods with Kingdom manifestations. PowerHouse is an example that the Partnering of the Apostolic and Prophetic Dimensions can occur.
